I am excited about using the meal planner and the option to add my family members. The meal plannermakes it easy to generate a grocery list and plan meals for the week. I have a few suggestions. On the meal planner, portions could be adjusted to add the “half of a portion” option for those of us with little kids. Or for a partner that needs one 1 1/2 portions. The only options are portions equal to mine or double. Also, adding family members to meals, some recipes don’t tell you how many ingredients to use per family member. For example, the turkey BLT wraps don’t tell me how much bacon to put in each person's wrap, especially when adding portions for leftovers, so I have no idea how much I need to put in each wrap for each person. If you don't want to premake the leftovers, having ingredients broken down per wrap would be nice. Maybe I am missing something. I admit this is my first day using the mealPlanning feature. Also, I wish there were a feature to edit some of the ingredients for some of the family members. For example, my husband is not eating as high a fat diet as I am. He uses My Fitness Pal, so it would be a convenient feature adjust the ingredients for a specific person, and then I could plan his meal and send him in a quick format what I put into his meal, so he could log it on his profile… if that makes sense. Overall, I am happy with the app and looking forward to achieving my fitness goals, using My Fitness Pal to hit my macros.

I highly recommend this app! I personally have learned so much about my routine and how to better my nutrition using this app. I have used both the free version and the membership benefits for different reasons and love how much I have learned from both. I took the advantage to learn from all the benefits of the paid annual membership and I now continue to use the app (free version) for general food logging and nutrition goal tracking. It provides me a sense of achievement to be able to look back at the results and more importantly this app has helped me realize what foods were interfering with my nutrition and weight management. Weight is never a concern when you start to eat healthy, and with the appropriate macros your body needs the extra weight falls off. This app displays a very good and simple macronutrient content for goals and it lets you know when you are getting off track as you log what you will be eating for the day. I have learned to plan ahead for meals thanks to this app features. Long story short, it all started when I injured my knee and I paid a fitness coach for personalized recovery training to get back to 100% mobility and strength. My trainer recommended this app to learn about nutrition habits and meals that will improve my overall fitness and recovery. My body has changed, I feel energetic and healthy thanks to the advice of both my trainer and this app.

A great service providing a platform for success on a human health quest. The My Fitness Pal application allows anyone to compile a detailed log of nutritional and fitness info into an easy to use, easy to interpret, easy to afford (free), and simple to navigate system. The breakdown of information into multiple charts and graphs is a phenomenal resource. The flexibility of being able to modify multiple facets of your goals such as macro nutrients, weight loss/gain per week, etc. is extremely intuitive and suitable for a wide range of fitness/nutritional goals. Nearly anyone can master this application within a reasonable timeframe of consistent effort and in turn become the master of their fitness/health destiny. My Fitness Pal has provided a great service and allowed for anyone with the desire to do so to achieve the best version of themselves possible. Also, after a long endeavor spanning months or years and reviewing your data in retrospect allows for a particular cognizance for what worked well and what did not. This, in turn, provides a chance to hone an adequate regimen into the ultimate program fine tuned to your personal goals. My Fitness pal provides an amenity that fosters a healthier and happier human race to those who utilize it. I really like this app. I use it for calorie counting. It links to Garmin Connect for integrating exercise calories into the overall balance for the day. You can scan barcodes for food items for easier logging. You can select items from your history of previous entries (great for frequently eaten foods). You can text search for foods, which accesses an enormous list of prior entries that I assume have been entered or scanned by other users. So why only four stars? My only peeve with the program is that it doesn’t seem to let users edit the serving size for many items, beyond being able to select from a too often extremely limited and sometimes arbitrary mix of imperial/metric/liquid/solid measures. The options presented vary widely from item to item, with little apparent logic. The best solution I have is to try to find items that use 1g as a serving size and then list the number of grams for that day’s serving as the number of servings for that entry. Since I’m using a food scale, that works for me. Seems a better solution would be to allow users to edit any food item to select from a full complement of serving sizes (or to just directly enter the desired serving size using the keyboard). Or just provide 1g as a choice in all cases (or at least all solid cases). In any case, I love and recommend the app, with the measurement detail being my only pet peeve.
