Unwind with this lovely paint-by-numbers app that features an array of gorgeous images – many of which are free. April produces incredibly realistic-looking oil paintings, and it’s designed to deliver a peaceful and fun painting experience that will help everyday stresses and strains fade away.
What we love: April feels much more like real painting than most colour-by-number apps. Instead of tapping the pictures you swipe them – a small but impactful feature in terms of how the app feels. With Apple Pencil’s pressure sensitivity, you’ll experience even more realistic painting.

Quick tip: The easiest way to colour in all the images is to tap a colour on the palette. This automatically highlights all the sections where that particular colour should go, making it easy to get pleasing results quickly without having to hunt for little bits to colour in.
