Be afraid. Be very afraid. You’ve just landed a babysitting job with the most troublesome tot around. Like the best horror movies, The Baby in Yellow takes an everyday situation and twists it into something darker. This nightmarish game is full of trapped souls and spooky hidden rooms. Can you look after the bewitched baby?
What we love: Hunting for clues to stay one step ahead. The opening chapter plays out like a childminding RPG until the baby starts behaving strangely. With its clever use of sound and jump scares, The Baby in Yellow is a masterclass in building tension. Think of it as a warped escape room with life-or-death stakes.
Quick tip: The baby’s eyes often glow bright red, and he has a disconcerting penchant for vanishing into thin air at dinner time. In short, never trust the baby. And keep an eye out for the cats.
Meet the creator: Team Terrible was founded by Aaron Baumbatch and Greg Lee. The Scotland–based team created the original version of the game in 48 hours for the Game Maker’s Toolkit Game Jam in 2020.
