The already dark world of Grim Soul descends a little more down the desperation spiral. And we’re... here for it?! As a trade-off, we get a new location, new monsters and a new item slot.

What we love: It’s basically Halloween all year round in this game, but this event ramps up the atmosphere to darker heights. The new location, set in ancient ruins and available to all players, features new enemies such as skeletons, ghosts and necromancers... and also a pumpkin bomb thrower. Get hit and you’ll be landed with a random negative effect. It’s not a lottery you’ll want to try!

Don’t miss: The new talisman mechanic allows even more customisation. Complete event quests, veteran challenges or purchase the Battle Pass to acquire talismans that grant useful effects such as reducing fire damage or saving you from a one-shot kill. But don’t overuse them, as durability decreases with every trigger.
