In 1993, elite special forces squad Delta Force was sent to Somalia on a mission to capture a warlord.

Unexpectedly, the team was plunged into chaotic and brutal urban warfare, where evacuation became their primary objective. You might recognise these events from the plot of the film Black Hawk Down, which served as inspiration for new game Delta Force.

In Hazard Operations mode, you venture deep into combat zones to extract valuable resources before evacuating to a safe place. You’ll have to be careful though, because if you’re killed during the mission all your loot will be lost.

As a member of an elite special forces squad, you’ll need to combine your smarts, courage and a fair bit of luck. But with the game’s “safe box” mechanic, you’re always guaranteed a reward for your mission, regardless of whether your evacuation is successful or not.

From producing your own supplies and equipment to making the most out of what at first looks like junk, there are plenty of ways to level up and rake in the rewards.

Beyond Hazard Operations, Delta Force also has a Warfare mode featuring sprawling maps and a Black Hawk Down mode, which recreates the film’s storyline. If you’re a military game enthusiast, you won’t want to miss this.
