This release brings Show Less functionality to mobile. Users can now choose “Show less from this channel” via the context menu on certain algorithmically-generated rails in Home. This action reduces how often videos from that channel appear in that view. Additional updates: • Standardized spacing for rail titles on Home • Improved scroll animation for the new episodic channel layout • Fixed an issue where the trailer button appeared on film channels without trailers • Fixed a bug that could occasionally hide thumbnail previews of shared videos • Corrected an issue that caused certain channel titles to be sorted incorrectly in channel lists

Introducing a redesigned channel view for Nebula Original films. This layout showcases richer imagery, provides space for more information—including artwork, cast and crew details, and bonus content—and lets you follow an upcoming Original channel to catch announcements or trailers leading up to the film’s release. Some other smaller changes in this release include: • Added additional diagnostics to help identify the cause of downloads disappearing for some users. • Fixed a cosmetic issue with the expandable description button in the podcast show view. • Corrected a bug that erroneously hid episode descriptions from the podcast player under certain conditions. • Addressed a few crashes that could happen due to a lack of date validations.

We’ve improved how we handle this by providing clearer messaging when it happens and offering a direct way to redownload content. • Optimized our internal image management to use less memory and data. • Home now scrolls a lot smoother thanks to improvements in how we render video tiles. • Improved the image caching system to prevent apps with limited memory from crashing (thanks to Chris for this crash report). • Fixed an issue that could result in missing artwork within the lock screen player.

Welcome Home. The main view–now called Home–has been redesigned to make it even easier to discover content you’ll enjoy. In addition to the featured content you’re used to seeing, Home is now where you can find additional pages of curated content grouped by category or interest such as News, Culture, Science, and Classes. We’ll continue to add more Home pages over time, so let us know what you’re interested in seeing more of. This release focused on minor improvements and app polish: Improvements • Downloaded content is now ordered by the date and time it was downloaded. • Podcast player analytics have been added to help diagnose and solve podcast playback issues. • Added an in-app notification system to communicate required app updates and minimum app and OS version requirements. • Updated the description of the background audio setting to clarify that this setting only applies to videos and lessons. Podcast audio will always continue upon locking device. • Updated and refreshed the app color palette.
